Hi, I’m Branwen! — it’s wonderful to meet you.

My story begins long before I was born, in a small new age bookstore in Leavenworth, Washington. My astrologer grandmother wandered in one day and met a young man whose life was devoted to myth, symbolism, and the language of the stars. She introduced him to my mother, and from that simple encounter a new thread of destiny was woven. A few years later, they welcomed me into the world, and my father named me Branwen after the Welsh goddess whose story speaks of devotion, transformation, and the deep emotional tides of life. That mythic current has followed me ever since.

My childhood held both beauty and shadow, and early experiences shaped my deep commitment to healing and emotional awareness. I believe profoundly in the importance of mental health care; I work with my own therapist and continue study with spiritual teachers who help me stay grounded and accountable in my practice. I’m not a licensed mental health provider, and I encourage anyone exploring their shadows with me to also work with a professional. Doing this inner work is sacred, and it deserves thoughtful support.

I’ve always been a seeker — someone who learns voraciously, analyzes deeply, and then lets all that mental energy melt into intuition and creative expression. I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, spent over twenty years immersed in competitive Irish dance, and follow more hobbies and curiosities than I could ever fully list. These threads — intellectual rigor, symbolic insight, and embodied artistry — all weave together in the way I approach astrology, tarot, and somatic movement.

My work is about helping others listen to the stories written in their bodies, the patterns etched in their birth charts, and the quiet truths rising from beneath the surface of everyday life. I believe that we are all mythic beings living human stories — and that by engaging with symbol, movement, and presence, we can find our way back to ourselves with clarity, compassion, and intention

My Teachers and Community

I believe that every guide should also be a student — continually learning, unlearning, and deepening. I’m grateful to walk this path surrounded by mentors and communities who support me in the many facets of my esoteric work: tarot, astrology, somatic movement, yoga, and the subtle spaces in between. Their wisdom shapes me, challenges me, and keeps my practice rooted in integrity.

These teachers are part of the lineage that nourishes my journey. If you resonate with my work, I trust you may find inspiration in theirs as well. I invite you to explore their websites, offerings, and events — each one a doorway into its own world of symbol, embodiment, and transformation.

Honoring Alan Schaub

True Will Studio began as True Will Astrology under my father, Alan Schaub. Tragically, he chose to leave Earth on February 28th, 2025 under a Pisces New Moon. This timing aligned with his second Saturn return, and my first.

It is an honor to continue my father’s work in my own way, and I am blessed to feel his loving presence guiding me forward on my esoteric journey.

I love you, Dad.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Alan, a devoted father and husband, a cherished brother, and a dear friend and counselor to so many, including the youth in our community. He was a healer, a mentor, and an empath, always offering a compassionate heart and a wise, inquisitive mind to those in need. A true wizard and sage, he had a beautiful light that shined brightly, touching everyone around him and making the world better with his presence. His gentle-hearted nature, creativity, and unwavering love made him a pillar of strength for his family, friends, and clients. Alan worked in mental health as a counselor and also brought enlightenment to those in his community. He had a heart for those around him, and our community will miss him in his absence. Anyone who had the great honor of having him as their counselor will tell you he helped them get through some of the most difficult times in their lives with grace and healing. Alan held a space of safety—emotionally and physically—giving people the opportunity to be vulnerable and share intimacies and their difficulties like no one else could. Alan had so many gifts that he shared with all who came upon his path.”
